Materials Analyst
Job Description
An exciting new opportunity has arisen as a Materials Analyst for one of our clients based in Hertfordshire.
In order to be considered for the role as a Materials Analyst, you must have previous experience in a similar role using various techniques such as FTIR, NMR, DSC, TGA and more on materials/polymers.
As a Materials Analyst you will be responsible for routine testing of the materials produced within the organisation. The Materials Analyst will also be responsible for liaising with customers.
Role responsibilities
- The materials analyst will have a main responsibility of determining the composition of various materials.
- Conducting in-depth defect analysis on a wide range of client products.
- Testing various polymers and products to specification of customer requirements.
- Actively work across cross-functional departments as and when required.
- Prepare samples for testing using analytical systems, instrumentation and analytical systems.
- Perform analytical testing as and when required to ISO or GMP standards.
Role requirements
- Experience in the use of FTIR, NMR, TGA and DSC on materials is essential for this role.
- Previous experience in working to ISO17025 and ISO9001 is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working in a GMP environment is also highly desirable.
- Degree educated as a minimum in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Chemistry or a similar field is essential.
