Department: Assembly

Reports to: Shop Lead

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

As a data input specialist, you are responsible for scanning documents and typing important information into our manufacturing ERP system. Responsible for distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering productions materials and suppliers where needed. Contribute to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

·       Receives and reviews purchase requisitions.

·       Creates Work Orders and Purchase orders

  • Receives parts and materials
  • Works with Quality Assurance to review product quality and performance.
  • Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
  • Expedites delivery of goods to users.
  • Prints drawings, travelers, part lists
  • Collaborates with Leads and Director of Operations to schedule work completion to meet customer delivery dates
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Able to maintain regular attendance and punctuality as scheduled.

  • US Person Status due to Export Control
  • Excellent typing skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiar with the use of MRP systems.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

 

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to analyze information and use logic to address issues.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Three to six-month experience in purchasing (aerospace manufacturing ) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Quality Control, Production and Inventory Control, General Manufacturing and ISO 9001/2015 and AS9100D quality systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience with production planning software or ERP systems.
