Marketing Project Manager - Specialty Coffee

Job Description

Marketing Project Manager - Specialty Coffee

PDG Media is a full-service digital marketing agency that works with coffee brands.

We’re looking for a dynamic Marketing Project Manager with a comprehensive understanding of social media and experience working in the coffee sector. This role will be based in our London office, working on a hybrid basis.

As the Marketing Project Manager, you will lead quality control for our team of social media managers and designers. You will leverage your understanding of the coffee industry to nurture client relationships in the coffee sector, and co-ordinate the delivery of outstanding social media content, community management, EDM strategies and more.

The right candidate will be a creative specialty coffee professional and a digital marketing generalist. We’re looking for someone who is used to wearing plenty of hats and pivoting from one workstream to another to keep clients and internal stakeholders happy.

Candidates must have a fantastic understanding of social media marketing, newsletters (and ideally email marketing), and ultimately be a digital marketing guru – someone capable of spotting opportunities to deliver value for our clients. A high level of organisation, a solution-focused mindset, and the ability to leverage multiple creative projects at once will all be key.

Candidates should have experience with specialty coffee, and preference will be given to those with professional experience working in digital marketing in the coffee sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead quality control processes for social media managers and designers, fostering a culture of excellence
  • Support the delivery of social media content to internal and external stakeholders for approval in a timely manner
  • Work in accordance with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure all accounts are on-brand and content is of a consistently high standard
  • Take the lead on graphic design projects, inspiring designers to create innovative, visually striking work (i.e. for rebrands)
  • Work with developers to project manage website changes/creation
  • Design community management strategies to maximise engagement for all managed accounts
  • Manage newsletter strategies for existing accounts, developing new flows to deliver value where needed
  • Improve newsletter strategy to increase audience share and engagement, ensuring high open rates and click-throughs.
  • Research current digital marketing trends (social media, newsletter, and beyond) to bring new opportunities to both internal and external accounts
  • Measure performance and make recommendations for content quality based on analytics (including for social media, newsletter etc)
  • Collaborate closely with the publishing department to synchronise content publication with editorial calendars, optimising engagement and reach.
  • Respond to relevant trends in the coffee industry, publishing relevant content and preparing recommendations for clients
  • Implement feedback from Group COO and CEO as needed to maximise value

Essential:

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in a digital marketing role, with a significant focus on social media management.
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in the coffee industry.
  • At least 2 years’ experience leading and managing teams, preferably in a digital marketing or media capacity
  • Expertise with social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in crafting and executing successful newsletter strategies
  • Exceptional organisational skills, allowing for the management of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience with social media reporting tools such as Hootsuite or Whatagraph
  • Experience with EDM platforms such as Klaviyo or Mailchimp
  • Experience with scheduling tools such as Later, Bitly, etc
  • An understanding of website development, ideally from experience working with developers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Communications).

Desirable:

  • Experience working in the specialty coffee industry.
  • Proficiency with G Suite applications (Google Docs, Sheets, etc.).
  • Expertise with Klaviyo
  • Experience with graphic design
  • Email marketing experience
  • A sharp eye for emerging trends, both within the coffee industry and digital marketing.
  • Experience working within an international team.

If you're passionate about digital marketing and coffee, and think this is the role for you, please send your CV to ross@perfectdailygrind.com, as well as your notice period, location, and salary expectations in GBP.
