Maritime Security Intelligence Analyst

Role Summary

As a Maritime Security Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in enhancing the security and resilience of our dry bulk operations across global maritime environments. You will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and disseminating intelligence to support threat awareness, route risk assessments, crisis response, and strategic security planning.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor global maritime threat landscapes including piracy, geopolitical instability, terrorism, smuggling, and criminal port activity.
  • Produce timely intelligence briefs and risk assessments for vessels, regions, or operations.
  • Support voyage planning with actionable risk mitigation advice.
  • Monitor AIS data, vessel movements, and suspicious maritime activity.
  • Assist GSOC operations with real-time incident alerts and crisis monitoring.
  • Liaise with port security, intelligence partners, government bodies, and industry associations. .
  • Support investigations related to security incidents or irregular maritime behaviour.
  • Maintain and update intelligence databases, threat maps, and trend analysis tools.


Skills Capabilities Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Intelligence Studies, International Relations, Maritime Security, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in maritime security, naval intelligence, shipping operations, or threat analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of global maritime risks, shipping routes, and dry bulk trade dynamics.
  • Proficiency in OSINT tools, maritime data platforms (e.g. AIS, Lloyd’s List Intelligence), and intelligence reporting formats.
  • Ability to synthesise complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
  • Experience working in or alongside GSOCs is highly desirable.


Attributes / Personality

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. English proficiency is essential.
  • Ability to operate under pressure and support time-critical decisions.
  • Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
