Job Description
Service Engineer – Global Marine Systems | Worldwide Travel Are you ready to take your engineering career around the world?\nWe’re working with a world leader in advanced marine control systems, supplying high-performance technology to commercial ships, naval vessels and luxury yachts across the globe.\n\n This is a hands-on, field-based Service Engineer role that will see you travelling internationally to install, commission, service and repair complex marine stabilisation and control systems — the cutting-edge technology that keeps vessels stable, efficient, and safe at sea.\n\n When not travelling, you’ll be based at the UK headquarters, providing remote service support, preparing equipment, and liaising with customers to ensure first-class aftersales care.\n\n What you’ll be doing:\nCarrying out on-board installation, commissioning, service and repair of advanced marine systems\n\nProviding technical support to customers and colleagues when back in the UK\n\nReading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals\n\nTroubleshooting hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems\n\nMaintaining detailed service documentation and reports\n\nRepresenting the company with professionalism and pride wherever you go\n\nWhat we’re looking for:\nAt least 2 years’ experience assembling, maintaining or servicing mechanical/electrical systems\n\nConfident understanding of hydraulics, electrics, and mechanics\n\nAbility to diagnose faults and think on your feet\n\nIndependent, practical and self-motivated engineer with strong problem-solving skills\n\nComputer literate and comfortable completing reports and documentation\n\nWilling and eager to travel internationally at short notice\n\nMarine experience or background highly advantageous\n\nWhy you’ll love it: Global travel – visit shipyards and vessels around the world\n⚙️ Cutting-edge technology – work on industry-leading motion control systems\n Career variety – every week is different, with new vessels, challenges and people\n Collaborative team – join a supportive UK-based service department within a respected international group\n\nIf this sounds like something you would be interested in then hit apply or contact Sarah on (phone number removed)\n\nMarine Resources Recruitment Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent and fixed term contract recruitment and as a recruitment business for the supply of contract workers.
