About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Marine Engineer to join a boatbuilding company based in Cornwall. Working in one of the UK’s most desirable coastal locations, you’ll contribute to the production of some of the world’s finest boats.
This role involves the installation, testing, and commissioning of marine engineering systems on high-end vessels. You'll work from detailed drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities
* Install and commission engineering systems in small to medium sized boats
* Boat build and refit
* Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications
* Perform system checks and fault-finding
* Operate hand tools, power tools, and bench-mounted equipment safely
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 4 years’ experience in marine engineering (required)
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities
* Ability to work to a high standard with minimal supervision
* Comfortable working in tight or elevated spaces and on uneven surfaces
* Familiarity with marine systems in luxury or custom vessels is desirable
Contract Details
* Job Type: Full-time, contract (3-6 months)
* Hours: 40 hours per week
* Schedule: Monday to Friday
* Rate: Competitive, based on experience
