Job Description
JOB – Marine Engineer\n\nLOCATION – Southampton \n\nTERM – Permanent\n\nSALARY - £35,000-£45,000, dependent on experience \n\nMy client operates within the Marine industry. They are looking for an Engineer with strong hands-on experience with maintenance and installation to join their team. This is a permanent role, based in Southampton.\n\nThe Marine Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:\n\nAt least 3 years’ relevant experience working on equipment in the Marine industry\nA background in servicing, maintenance, repair, fault-finding, fitting, installation, commissioning or similar\nStrong knowledge of engines, motors and gearboxes\nNVQ / HNC / HND / BTEC / Degree qualified or similar in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering\nAble to work to Safety Standards\nCustomer focussed with excellent communication skills\nProactive and organised\nHolds a full UK driving licence \n\n The Marine Engineer role will involve:\n\nWorking on Marine equipment at local customer sites\nInstalling, repairing and maintaining motors and engines\nWorking to given processes and procedures\nCommunicating with customers effectively to provide a quality service\nDetermining the reason of reported issues, fault-finding and repair\nWorking accurately and efficiently \n\n If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible
