What You’ll Do

Perform electrical service calls and repairs on tugboats, push boats, and crew boats
-
Install and maintain switchboards, controllers, motors, alarms, and distribution systems

Run and terminate cable; mount electrical equipment and complete hook-ups

Use diagnostic tools (voltmeters, ohmmeters, phase rotation indicators) to troubleshoot systems

Conduct insulation resistance tests and recommend repair/replacement

Maintain inventory and assist with part requisitions

Support electrical upgrades and modifications onboard vessels (no offshore or dockside-only work)
Requirements

5–7 years of marine electrical experience

Solid experience with motor controls, cable terminations, and power systems

Ability to read technical documentation and electrical schematics

Valid driver’s license and ability to work across Tampa-area ports

Willingness to relocate to Tampa or travel for full-time, local work

Safety-minded and detail-oriented
Schedule
-
Full-time | 40–60 hours/week

Monday to Friday | Day shift

8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts depending on service needs

Overtime for emergency or after-hours service calls
