Manure/Feed Systems Sales and Service Specialist

Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for providing manure and feed system solutions to dairy farmers in eastern and central Wisconsin. This includes identifying and securing new customers and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. This is an exciting new role which will work in conjunction with our existing manure systems team and our milking and barn equipment dealership business. This position requires sales expertise, industry knowledge, and a hands-on approach to customer service and equipment maintenance.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Work in a professional manner with all external and internal customers

  • Understand customers’ specific needs for manure management, including storage, handling, treatment and application
  • Provide expert advice and support existing and potential customers to understand their individual needs and challenges
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to proactively cover and grow territory
  • Identify, pursue and follow up on new leads
  • Able to train and be a part of the manure/feed systems service team as needed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with customers
  • Manage inventory for replacement parts
  • Responsible for having close cooperation and communication with the MLS team to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Work cooperatively with vendors and MLS management to best support our customers’ current and future needs
  • Employee will attend various continued education training as agreed upon with the Dairy Division General Manager.
  • Perform other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor.

 

 

Qualifications (Skills Required)

· Sales experience – 5 years

· Dairy equipment and/or manure systems equipment experience

· Exceptional customer care experience and relationship building skills

· Self-motivated

· Mechanical experience and aptitude

· Computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)

· Strong decision making and problem-solving abilities

· Consistent positive attitude

· Organizational skills

· Excellent negotiation skills

· Ability to work as a positive member of the MLS team fostering quality working relationships with other MLS team members.

 

 

Education / Experience:

2- or 4-year degree or related work experience, 2+ years dairy farm/industry experience, Microsoft Office experience
