Summary\nBuild your expertise in electronic test engineering while supporting products as they move from development into production. This role offers hands-on technical challenges, exposure to complex systems and a clear opportunity to develop your career within the defence sector.\n\nLocation and setup\nHybrid working in Hertfordshire, with regular on-site attendance required due to the nature of the work.\n\nWhat you will be doing\n\nSupport test engineering activities throughout development and production readiness phases\nDiagnose faults within electronic sub-assemblies and circuit cards, supporting resolution through testing and analysis\nAssist with the introduction and configuration control of test equipment and facilities\nProduce and maintain test specifications, operator instructions and technical documentation\nWork closely with manufacturing, operations and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges\nContribute to continuous improvement activities and support the development of new production test solutionsSkills and background\n\nRelevant qualification in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related discipline\nExperience within a manufacturing or engineering environment\nKnowledge of electrical and electronic test equipment and measurement techniques\nFamiliarity with fault diagnosis techniques for electronic or electro-mechanical systems\nExperience using manufacturing or enterprise systems such as SAP, MES or similar platforms\nStrong analytical, problem-solving and communication skillsEssential requirements\n\nAble to obtain and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance\nEngineering qualification in a relevant discipline\nExperience within a manufacturing, engineering or technical environment\nUnderstanding of electronic measurement, fault finding and test principles\nExperience working with manual or automated test equipmentSalary and rewards\nCirca £44,000 depending on experience.\n\nBenefits and balance\n\nAnnual performance related bonus opportunity\nPaid overtime opportunities where workload requires it\nFlexible working arrangements to support work life balance\nEnhanced family leave policies including parental, adoption and related support provisionsEqual opportunities\nOur client is committed to creating an inclusive working environment and welcomes applications from suitably qualified individuals from all backgrounds.
