Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Job description:

We are currently seeking an equipment technician for the Lowell semiconductor manufacturing production floor to perform repair, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities. Coverage areas may include manual & automated Wire Bonder, Pick and Place equipment, Wafer Cleaning equipment, and Wafer Singulation (Dicing or Scribe & Break) equipment. Coverage in multiple areas is required.

Work schedule: Day shift

Job Responsibilities:

• Executes all aspects of operation, repair, trouble shooting, preventive maintenance, adjustments, rebuilding and modifications to insure proper operation and maximum up-time of various types of processing equipment with little or no supervision.

\n

• Assists Engineering in commissioning of new equipment.

\n

• Uses various test and diagnostic equipment to trouble-shoot and repair systems.

\n

• Maintains necessary records, reports, written and verbal pass downs, parts inventory-reordering parts

\n

• Leads or assists in the investigation and resolution of equipment related process problems.

\n

• Proactively drives safe practices within the factory, supports and follows site safety policies.

\n

• Works in clean room environment wearing clean room garments

\n

• Self-starter: Independently learns and can be trained by others on the job, manages time by priorities.

\n

• Communicates day to day events, direction, and repairs both written and verbally, through logs and passdowns.

\n

• Excels within a changing environment while working with others in a positive and cooperative manner to meet common goals and objectives in support of production and engineering - customer oriented

\n

• Positively influences and supports others to succeed in their roles

\n

• Some travel for external training is required as needed

\n

Job Experience and qualifications:

\n
• Experienced in semiconductor equipment repair and maintenance

\n

• Technical education in electronics and/or mechanics, may be offset by experience.

\n

• Must be able to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

\n

• Able to work on multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize issues and tasks according to production needs.

\n

• Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs, works in awkward positions as necessary, walks, stands, or sits for up to 8 hrs.

\n

• Experienced with handling toxic and reactive chemicals and gases common to the semiconductor industry.

\n

• Good written and verbal skills, possesses good keyboard and computer skills.

\n

The Salary Range for this position is $25 - $30 per hour. Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates' experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
