Extension is seeking a Service Support Engineer for a direct-hire opportunity with one of our clients located in Menomonee Falls, WI!

Overview

This role supports industrial equipment used in manufacturing environments. You’ll provide remote troubleshooting to customers and Field Service Engineers, helping resolve mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime. This position is well-suited for a hands-on technician looking to transition into an in-office role or someone early in their career seeking growth in a technical support environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide phone and virtual troubleshooting support for industrial equipment issues
• Assist Field Service Engineers and customers with diagnostics and repair solutions
• Identify parts, review bills of materials (BOMs), and support technical problem-solving
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and assembly prints
• Document service activities accurately in internal tracking systems
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, field teams, and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• Experience working with industrial machinery
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret prints, schematics, and BOMs
• Comfortable providing remote support
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly

Qualifications

• Experience as a Field Service Engineer or repair technician
• Associate degree or technical training in mechanical, electrical, or related field

Salary and Schedule

• Up to $32 per hour (flexible for right candidate)
• Onsite in Menomonee Falls
• Monday-Friday 1st shift
