Job DescriptionJob Description
This position is responsible for providing overall supervision to the hourly workforce within a department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to planning, organizing and utilizing resources (human, materials, and equipment) effectively and within safety and quality standards. This position works in collaboration with a variety of other departments including quality, supply chain, other production departments, production leadership and human resources.
Essential Functions:
- Plan and organize resources to ensure organizational and customer goals are met.
- Provide direction and supervision to the hourly workforce to ensure goals are met with regard to safety, quality, and production; including but not limited to coaching and feedback, conducting performance reviews and disciplinary actions, as appropriate.
- Complete a variety of reports and other reports with regard to safety, production, ISO, employee performance, and etc.
- Maintain appropriate communication and documentation of changes and updates to production process and document SOPs, in collaboration with the Quality Department.
- Conduct timely communication meetings, safety training, and other meetings as required to ensure high levels of communication are maintained.
Job Qualifications:
- H.S. diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills with exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, multi-task and prioritize workload
- Ability to take initiative, with a demonstrated passion and commitment for getting the job done right the first time
- Computer skills are required, Microsoft Office, with working knowledge of ERP systems
- Effective problem-solving skills with an eye towards proactive solutions
- Bi-lingual Spanish a plus
