The Manufacturing Manager is to oversee the manufacturing of standard and customized automation equipment. The primary responsibility in this role is to manage daily operations in production, scheduling, procurement/vendor relations, manufacturing, and service. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills are required; as well as a solid understanding of the manufacturing process of automation equipment.
The Manufacturing Manager will also oversee the continuous improvement and process optimization for the organization. The ideal candidate will have the skills to develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity.
A successful Manufacturing Manager will focus on building strong relationships between internal teams; delegating, mentoring and elevating team members to their fullest potential. With these relationships the Director of Operations will drive the operational excellence needed for the external customers.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
· Oversee procurement, production output, product quality and on-time shipping
· Increase production/assets capacity & flexibility and minimize unnecessary costs while maintaining current quality standards
· Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
· Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
· Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
· Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
· Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
· Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
· Share a trusting relationship with workgroup; recruit, manage and develop production staff
· Collect and analyze data to find unnecessary waste or overtime
· Commit to plant safety procedures
· Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets
· Enforce health and safety precautions
· Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· BS/BA in Business Administration or relevant field is
· Proven work experience as an operations manager/director
· Proven managerial experience
· Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
· Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
· Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
· Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
· Attention to detail
· Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
· Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
· Requires the use of PPE to include but not limited to steel toe shoes and safety glasses in manufacturing areas
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
