MANUFACTURING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

• Location: Sumter SC 29153 – 100% On-site
• Payrate: $23/hr
• Required Availability: Full-Time | Sunday–Thursday, Midnight–8:00 AM

MANUFACTURING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician plays a key part in maintaining equipment uptime, ensuring product quality, and keeping production running smoothly. If you enjoy hands-on troubleshooting, equipment setup, and working in a fast-paced environment, this could be a great fit.

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term insurance
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

MANUFACTURING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | RESPONSIBILITIES:

Equipment Operation & Setup

• Operate equipment within established quality and production standards.
• Set up and debug machines per specifications, plant policies, and department procedures.
• Start-up equipment and confirm proper machine and control panel functionality.
• Ensure all safety guards are in place and functioning.

Maintenance & Repair

• Perform equipment adjustments, troubleshooting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance according to PM schedules.
• Assist maintenance and technical teams with major repairs as needed.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and legible equipment log entries.

Production Support

• Monitor and replenish component inventories; notify material handlers when supplies run low.
• Safely clear equipment jams and restart production cycles.
• Record accurate production and downtime information.
• Support upstream and downstream operations as needed.
• Perform rework tasks when required.
• Maintain a neat, organized, and safe work environment.

Quality & Safety

• Monitor in-process quality and address issues promptly to prevent product holds.
• Conduct and document required quality checks and process challenges.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and Quality System Requirements (QSR).
• Ensure part tracks remain clean and free flowing.

Team Collaboration

• Work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues across production and maintenance.
• Complete additional duties as assigned to support business needs.

MANUFACTURING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to use tools
• MUST experience reading blueprints and performing troubleshooting.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and equipment logs.
• Detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to work independently.
• Previous experience in equipment maintenance, manufacturing, or related fields .
