osition Summary:
The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of all production equipment and facility systems. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production machinery, equipment, and facility systems according to established schedules.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on various types of manufacturing equipment.
- Respond promptly to production line breakdowns to minimize downtime and support manufacturing output.
- Install, align, and test new equipment or components as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment records.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety policies, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing cost-effective maintenance solutions.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment within the maintenance shop and production areas.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification .
- 3+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance (mechanical and/or electrical).
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, motors, PLCs, sensors, conveyors, and automation equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and repair of machinery and facility systems.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting and documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable working in industrial environments with noise, heat, and moving machinery.
Qualifications:
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, etc.).
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Electrical or mechanical certification or journeyman’s license.
