Maintenance Technician

1st: 7:30AM-4PM

2nd: 3:00PM_11:30PM

3rd Shift: 11PM-7:30AM Mon-Fri

Pay: $28/hr-$34/hr
AdditionalShift Differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts

Essential Functions:

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated machinery issues.

• Perform preventative maintenance according to schedules.

• Install, program, or repair systems including robots and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

• Operate metalworking tools like lathes, drill presses, and grinders to fabricate or fix parts.

• Use cutting and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication.

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics.

• Use lifting equipment such as forklifts and hoists to move machinery.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area and tools.

• Participate in safety protocols and report hazards.

• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate work status.

• Follow departmental quality standards and raise issues proactively.

• Support performance goals through teamwork and personal accountability.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Interface with PLCs for troubleshooting and logic modification.

• Mentor junior technicians and assist in training efforts.

• Document repairs in a CMMS system.

• Help develop maintenance procedures and checklists.

• Stay updated with technical skills through ongoing training.

• Be available for overtime and flexible shifts as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• 2- or 4-year technical degree or 5–10 years of relevant industrial experience.

• 2–5 years of maintenance experience in molding or similar manufacturing environments.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents.

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Capable of handling mathematical and technical tasks relevant to machinery maintenance.

Experience:

• Hands-on experience with a variety of molding machines and robotic systems.

• Familiarity with material handling and drying equipment.

• Certified in operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.

Physical Demands:

• Must perform a range of physical activities including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, kneeling, and working at heights.

• Regular exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and machinery.

• May involve driving equipment and working on uneven surfaces.
