Job Description – Maintenance Technician (Injection Molding)

We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our injection molding machines, support equipment, and facility running smoothly. This role is essential to maximizing production efficiency and ensuring a safe, comfortable work environment for all employees.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including:
    • Low-voltage electrical systems
    • Hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal regulation, and vacuum systems
  • Conduct mold maintenance and repair including assembly, disassembly, cleaning, minor machining, and welding.
  • Support facility maintenance, such as cooling towers, HVAC units, doors, fixtures, lighting, plumbing, office furniture, and painting.
  • Assist with the installation and setup of new manufacturing equipment.
  • Help track and manage parts and supplies inventory.
  • Contribute to facility cleaning and organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing or similar environment (strongly ).
  • Experience with low-voltage electrical systems (strongly ).
  • Forklift certification.
  • Strong communication skills, a team-player mindset, and a desire to learn.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and solve problems effectively.
  • Willingness to work outside regular hours, including weekends, as needed.

 

Work Conditions

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing ladders to maintain molding machines.
  • Use of hands and arms for handling, twisting, pulling, and reaching.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Potential exposure to fumes, odors, dust, mists, and gases requiring proper PPE.

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: From $27-$33/HR depending commensurate with experience + quarterly profit share (after conversion).
