People First Employment is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a Food Manufacturing plant in #Azusa. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and demonstrate proficiency in various technical skills. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, providing a safe and efficient environment for all.

• Monday - Friday and Saturdays if needed
• 3rd shift - 8:00 pm - 4:30 am
• Pay range: $23.00 -$26.00
• Temp to hire

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical systems, mechanical components, and programmable logic controllers.
• Conduct welding tasks as needed to maintain equipment integrity.
• Interpret schematics and technical drawings to facilitate repairs and installations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Oversee residential painting projects to ensure quality standards are met.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with internal teams and external vendors.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure minimal downtime during maintenance activities.

Skills

• Proficient in electrical systems with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repair.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on various types of equipment.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) for automation tasks.
• Experience in welding techniques applicable to maintenance work.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
• Background in facilities maintenance with a focus on safety standards.
• Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Leadership abilities to supervise and mentor other technicians or staff members.
• Proficient use of tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics.
