SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY
To analyze, troubleshoot and repair injection machines, peripheral equipment, automated assembly machines, and the physical plant facility. .
TYPICAL DUTIES
Assures that product meets customer specifications through use of electrical and mechanical skills including hydraulic and pneumatic processes. Works with tools from prints, schematics, manuals and computer programs. Works with robotic processes and equipment as end-of-arm tooling, assembly fixtures, PLC programming. Performs preventative maintenance (PM) and safety checks on production equipment. Takes action on any unsafe or out-of-compliance issues. Complies with OSHA regulations and company safety procedures as required according to policy.
SPECIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Ability to read, write and perform mathematical computations (add, subtract, multiply and divide) with the aid of a calculator
Knowledge of PLCs and associated electronic technology
Ability to use computer programs for troubleshooting.
Knowledge of the plastic injection processes.
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic equipment and pumps and valves
Ability to set, install, repair and maintain specialized automation equipment.
Experience with high (480 VAC 3 ph) and low voltage (120VAC 1 ph and 24 VDC) equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem solving skills
Ability to work with little supervision, complying with all safety procedures
Ability to use sound judgment in planning work sequences
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required to support the goals and objective
of the organization
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT UTILIZED
Computer programs for troubleshooting
Uses Voltage Ohm Meter (VOM)
Basic machine shop equipment (vertical knee mill, lathe, band saw)
MIG welding equipment
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ability to work while in the following positions for extended periods of time: standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking. Requires use both hands in all positions. May work at heights ranging from a few inches to 30 feet. Must have good far and near vision (corrected), full hearing acuity, and good hand and eye coordination. Required to lift up to 50 pounds on a one-person lift and up to 75 on a two-person lift. Generally works indoors in climate controlled environment.
