Smith Personnel is currently hiring an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. We’re looking for someone with a strong background in industrial maintenance who’s ready to jump into a fast-paced environment and keep things running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment
• Troubleshoot and maintain industrial systems and components including:
• • Furnaces, presses, pumps, motors, fans
  • PLCs, VFDs, controllers
  • Hydraulic systems, air compressors, cooling towers
• Perform electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and masonry repairs as needed
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance
• Accurately document maintenance activities in CMMS

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in industrial maintenance
• High school diploma required; 30+ hours of technical college coursework
• Must have your own set of tools
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings
• Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with fractions and decimals
