Manufacturing Inspector / CMM Programmer
Location: Andover, Hampshire
Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE + Overtime
Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, and Fridays 8am - 1pm
Contract: Permanent
I have been instructed to support our client who are a precision engineering manufacturer to recruit a Manufacturing Inspector / CMM Programmer. This hands-on role is central to ensuring high-quality components, accurate documentation, and compliance with customer and industry standards. Strong CMM programming experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Program and operate CMM equipment for detailed dimensional inspections.
Complete FAIRs, ISIRs and maintain accurate quality documentation.
Review and verify material certificates and traceability documents.
Carry out manual inspection using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other tools.
Identify and report non-conformances and support problem-solving activities.
Contribute to audit readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.What You'll Bring
Proven experience in a quality inspection role within engineering or manufacturing.
Strong CMM programming skills - this is a must-have.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and technical specifications.
Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001.
High attention to detail, good documentation skills, and confident communication.Desirable
Engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/NVQ or similar).
Audit involvement or familiarity with customer-specific standards (e.g., SABRe).
