Summary
The Engineering Manager leads manufacturing engineering operations, providing technical and people leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production. This role drives scrap reduction, labor efficiency, continuous improvement, and successful new product launches in an ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the manufacturing engineering team; set priorities, goals, and performance metrics

Drive scrap reduction, cost savings, and productivity improvements using data-driven problem solving

Improve labor efficiency through process optimization, line balancing, and automation initiatives

Support new product launches, pilot builds, and production ramp-ups

Lead engineering change management and maintain compliant documentation

Oversee controls and automation systems (PLCs, HMIs, vision, data collection)

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485; support audits, CAPAs, and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)

Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, EHS, and R&D
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required

7–10 years of manufacturing engineering experience; 3–5 years in a leadership role

Experience with regulated manufacturing (battery, electronics, medical device, or similar)

Strong knowledge of process development, PFMEA, SPC, validation, and industrial automation
-
Proven leadership, project management, and cross-functional communication skills
- Experience supporting new product launches and high-volume production.
- Prior experience in an ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified facility .
