Job Description

Direct Hire | Onsite in LaFayette, GA

Oxford Solutions has an opening with a client for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager. In this role, you will lead and develop the engineering team at a plastics manufacturing facility in LaFayette, GA. This is a direct hire position reporting to the Plant Manager and focused on driving safety, quality, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and manage the process engineering team to meet plant metrics
• Drive improvement initiatives in safety, quality, waste reduction, and equipment performance (OEE)
• Collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams to resolve customer complaints and product issues
• Champion lean manufacturing efforts, visual factory standards, and problem-solving practices
• Oversee pre-trial planning and execution of new product trials and process scale-ups
• Lead commissioning and validation of new equipment and processes
• Develop department-level business plans to support plant growth and cost reduction goals
• Actively participate in and support site safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required
• At least 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience
• Prior leadership experience in an engineering capacity
• Experience in a safety-focused manufacturing environment
• Background in plastics manufacturing strongly
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to lead from the plant floor
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
