About the Company: We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Production Manager to lead the setup and daily running of our low-volume, high-performance vehicle manufacturing line. This is a rare opportunity to shape and manage a new production facility from day one, overseeing all aspects of vehicle build, team leadership, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all vehicle production activities, ensuring high-quality builds delivered on time and to spec.
- Lead the setup and commissioning of a new production facility, including layout planning, equipment specification, and process development.
- Build, mentor, and manage a multi-skilled team of technicians, supervisors, and support staff.
- Implement and continuously improve production systems, SOPs, and safety practices.
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and quality teams to support prototype builds and transition to series production.
- Drive production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet build targets and customer delivery timelines.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, efficiency, cost, and output.
- Own issue escalation and resolution within the production environment.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven experience in a production leadership role, ideally within automotive, motorsport, aerospace or a low volume/high-performance engineering environment.
- Track record of successfully setting up or scaling manufacturing operations.
- Strong people management skills and ability to develop high-performing teams.
- Knowledge of production systems, lean manufacturing principles, and quality management.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented approach with the ability to adapt quickly to change.
- Passion for engineering excellence and enthusiasm for electric vehicle innovation.
Desirable:
- Experience with electric vehicle components or systems.
- Exposure to composite structures, precision assembly, or motorsport-grade engineering.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or other quality systems.
