£45,000 - £50,000| Full Time | Permanent | 39 Hours per Week

Are you a Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys introducing new products, improving production processes and solving technical manufacturing challenges?

\n

An established manufacturer is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support new product introduction, production efficiency and the implementation of new machinery and technology.

The Role\n

    \n
  • Introduce new products into production, supporting projects from technical preparation through to launch.
  • \n

  • Produce manufacturing documentation, including drawings, PFMEAs, work instructions, BOMs and costings.
  • \n

  • Design and develop production jigs and fixtures.
  • \n

  • Support the installation and introduction of new machinery and manufacturing technology.
  • \n

  • Improve production quality, efficiency and cost through structured continuous improvement.
  • \n

  • Work alongside Design, R&D, Production and Purchasing teams on product development and supplier projects.
  • \n

  • Maintain technical documentation in line with relevant quality and regulatory requirements.
  • \n

Essential Requirements\n

    \n
  • Qualification in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • \n

  • At least two years' experience within a manufacturing engineering environment.
  • \n

  • Experience with 3D CAD, CAD/CAM and MRP or ERP systems.
  • \n

  • Ability to read and produce engineering drawings.
  • \n

  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes involving plastics, aluminium and steel fabrication.
  • \n

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach.
  • \n

Desirable\n

    \n
  • Experience with SolidWorks, Inventor or similar CAD packages.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
  • \n

  • Experience with machining, laser cutting, welding, tube bending or coating processes.
  • \n

  • Understanding of ISO 13485 or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • \n

  • CNC programming or manufacturing equipment experience.
  • \n
