Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for supporting and improving all stages of production, from the design and build of standard or custom fixtures, tools, and machinery through debug, commissioning, ongoing operation, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is creative, hands-on, and analytical, with the ability to develop innovative manufacturing solutions while collaborating effectively across teams. Strong communication skills—both visual and verbal—are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all manufacturing-related equipment, tools, and fixtures from concept through commissioning
- Develop projections for future manufacturing needs, including technical requirements, costs, and timelines
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve existing manufacturing processes and identify new opportunities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of manufacturing best practices
- Partner with operations and engineering teams to drive efficiency, quality, and productivity improvements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience designing mechanical systems; robotics, controls, and PLC programming experience
- Experience working in a lean manufacturing and continuous improvement environment
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
- Ability to run dynamic structural simulations and analyze test results
- Direct experience supporting production manufacturing
- Highly creative and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and a collaborative work style
- A desire to continuously improve processes and make tomorrow better than today
