Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer



Location: Rochester, Kent.



Salary: Circa £40,000 dependent on skills and experience



What you’ll be doing:



Driving the implementation and improvement of technology-based initiatives across the manufacturing facility by researching new and emerging technologies, carrying out feasibility studies, cost analyses, and capital expenditure proposals for new equipment



Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy smart manufacturing solutions



Driving automation and connectivity projects to improve system-to-system communication and overall business efficiency



Monitoring and troubleshooting integrated systems and identifying opportunities to improve production performance



Developing and maintaining data analytics tools for process optimisation, predictive maintenance, and real-time monitoring



Ensuring all digital and automation projects adhere to safety, quality, (cyber) security and compliance standards



Your skills and experiences:



Essential:



Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or time served in a similar role (HNC/Degree)



The ability to analyse complex problems, identify critical issues and develop solutions



End to End experience in introducing new technologies / tools into a business from concept through to implementation



Desirable:



Experience gained within a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous



Familiarity with 2D and 3D CAD packages



Hands on experience with tools such as Python, JavaScript, VBA etc

The Manufacturing Facilities team are a small team that is focused on delivering a next factory today that will continue to drive improvements in products and processes for years to come.
