Manufacturing Engineer | Plainwell, MI
Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Plainwell that are seeking skilled Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
- Design, develop, and implement manufacturing tools, fixtures, and equipment.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues and non-conformances.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and BOMs.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by defining manufacturing processes and requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges and implement engineering changes.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for tooling, fixture, and process layout design.
- Demonstrated experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles for process optimization and waste reduction.
- Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, welding, and automation.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
- Experience in developing and optimizing manufacturing work instructions, Bills of Material (BOMs), and routings.
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with automation, robotics, or industrial control systems.
- Proficiency in advanced CAD/CAM software for tooling and fixture design.
- Familiarity with MES/ERP systems for production data analysis and reporting.
