Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement capital projects – CNC machines, Robotic Automation with cross functional teams.
  • Work with shop floor teams to solve operational issues.
  • Support all APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) deliverables in support of Manufacturing Engineering responsibility for new product introduction.
  • Review equipment tooling minimizes change over time and standardizes tooling for all processes.
  • Support quoting and acquisition process for new products and engineering changes.

Education and Experience: (Must Have)

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering. Master’s degree is .
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a high pace production environment. Tier 1 automotive or commercial vehicle manufacturing using heavy robotic and PLC automation .
  • Design Shop floor Layout, material presentation, and Kanban system.
  • Proficient user knowledge of AutoCAD/and Creo for layouts, MS project, and office.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Strong CNC machining and tooling skills are .
  • Tooling and fixture digital designing, selection, and procurement from vendors.
  • Strong documentation such as PFEMA, Work Instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, working in multidisciplinary teams.

Working Relations:

  • Plant engineering, Product Engineering, Quality and Operations teams.
  • Vendor selection and management
  • Senior Leadership, Operations leadership, Shop floor, and materials delivery associates.

Skills:

Ability to read, write, verbalize, and comprehend instructions and correspondence in the English. Ability to effectively present information to all levels of the organization.

Environment/Atmospheric Conditions:

  • Duties are split between an office environment and the manufacturing floor.
  • Adequate hearing protection is provided and required at key locations.
  • Occupational exposure to fumes and dust is encountered during performance of some required duties. Personal Protective Equipment including safety glasses and steel-toed, industrial footwear is required at key locations.
  • Employee is occasionally required to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.

Personal computers, laptop, fax machine, copy machine, other office equipment, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, other software specific to this position’s duties.
