Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Luling, TX (onsite)
The Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the design and development cycle, transitioning into production with a focus on producibility. This position involves process development, production support, and overseeing the transition from concept to development and production. The Manufacturing Engineer is essential in developing efficient manufacturing methods, creating work instructions, and ensuring product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety: Work safely in all assigned environments.
- Team Collaboration:
- Act as an integral team member with the design team.
- Collaborate closely with Operations to ensure seamless production processes.
Process Development:
- Provide risk analysis and create validated methods of manufacture.
- Ensure processes include the required objective evidence to meet customer requirements.
Tooling and Resources:
- Develop and design tooling, fixtures, and carts needed for part fabrication.
- Generate and track BOMs (Bill of Materials) for assigned programs/projects.
- Plan materials and resources for each assigned program/project.
Production Coordination:
- Coordinate with shop floor personnel and skilled labor.
- Create manufacturing workflows and lead development, LRIP (Low Rate Initial Production), and production phases of assigned programs.
Problem Solving:
- Solve technical problems and troubleshoot processes.
- Work closely with Program Management to ensure production deadlines are met.
Requirements:
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Person.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Design Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.
Skills and Background: - Strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on mechanical experience, and assembly experience.
- Background in fabrication and assembly.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, schematics, CAD models, and technical diagrams.
- Familiarity with basic material principles.
