The Manufacturing Engineer at Aqua-Chem will be responsible for supporting the production process to ensure optimization of cost, quality and on time delivery of products.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Location: Onsite; Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: Dependent on Experience | $85,000 - $135,000/yr

Essential Duties:

  • Update or emplace manufacturing work instructions plant wide.
  • Develop standard labor hours and optimization of those hours.
  • Design to value: improve new and existing manufacturing drawings for ease of manufacturing and reduction in cost without affecting safety, quality, form, fit, and function.
  • Support purchasing: prepare scope of supply, to include instructions and drawings for suppliers.
  • Support manufacturing “red lines” – incorporate minor manufacturing design change request(s) without disrupting manufacturing operations.
  • Review of new manufacturing drawings for release
  • Support Application in cost estimations.
  • Support the aftermarket department with tasks such as finding replacements for obsolete parts, etc.
  • Be a leader in completing the transformation into a data-driven organization.
  • Report progress on initiatives and KPI’s.
  • Documents potential risks or shortfalls in methods and processes
  • Help develop a highly capable manufacturing support team.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

      Education/Experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience required
      • 5+ years of experience in a capital equipment manufacturing environment
      • Ability to operate in Autodesk a plus

      Requirements:

      • Must be a U.S.
      • Able to work overtime as required.
