Manufacturing Engineer I in Irvine

Job DescriptionThere is an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer I (salary exempt position) based at the ENF Irvine Plant, however, from time to time you may be assigned to the Corry/Warren Plants. \n
\n
These job functions are not intended to be an all-encompassing list of duties:\n
\n

\n
• Manufacturing process development and improvements

\n

• Standardizing work instructions and detailed control plans for semi-finished and finished parts

\n

• Manufacturing Evaluation and Optimization (Manufacturing Flow, Routings, Coordination with Tooling and Programming)

\n

• LEAN coordination and implementation throughout facility, focusing on set-up reduction, tooling and fixturing.

\n

• Gage identification, procurement, design and implementation

\n

• Facilitate the manufacturing design process, including design review and route review meetings.

\n

• Leading the contract review process for new item assessment and processing.

\n

• Working with sales to quote machining hours and tooling costs.

\n

• As well as any other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time to support the business needs.

\n

\n
MNIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\n
\n

\n
• Four-year BS Degree in a related Engineering discipline ( Mechanical or Industrial engineering degree),

\n

• 2 - 5 years of manufacturing experience.

\n

• Strong personal computer skills, including Microsoft office programs

\n

• Proficient with Solid Works modeling software and/or NX

\n

• Excellent problem solving and organizational skills

\n

• Must be results oriented with a strong desire to succeed, and be self-driven

\n

• Solid verbal and written communication skills

\n

QUALIFICATIONS:\n

\nExperience with the following:\n
\n

\n
• Machining or machine tools

\n

• Manufacturing planning

\n

• Metallurgy; including heat treatment and mechanical requirements

\n

• TOC Manufacturing concepts

\n

• Tooling experience

\n
