Manufacturing Engineer – Forging - Contract & Permanent positions available.

What You Will Do:
- Aero-structures/forging work (mainly aluminium or titanium).
- Optimise manufacturing processes to maximise quality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and health & safety.
- Drive process control and capability across operations to ensure reliable production outcomes.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques such as kaizen, time studies, and value stream mapping.
- Support the industrialisation of New Product Introductions (NPI), including tooling development, work instructions, and validation plans.
- Apply APQP processes and lead PPAP to ensure product and process readiness for manufacturing.
What You Will Bring:
- Demonstrable experience in manufacturing engineering within an industrial environment.
- Extensive practical experience in forging, machining, fabrication, or similar roles in aerospace, automotive, or high-spec industries.
- Experience with process validation, PFMEA, control plans, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Proven expertise in experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, Right First Time (RFT), and waste reduction.
- Degree or Higher Diploma (HND) in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and 8D/DMAIC problem-solving methodologies to ensure high-quality production and efficient processes.
- Proficient in interpreting complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Lean Manufacturing and industrial engineering optimization, including time studies, line balancing. and value stream mapping.
- Good working knowledge of quality standards
