Job DescriptionJob Description
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer. Candidate will train under current Engineering Vice President. Responsibilities include developing drawings, routings and BOMs for custom engineered products.
Responsibilities
- Create and detail drawings using Master Cam.
- Create and maintain routings and bills of material.
- Create work orders showing step by step manufacturing instructions.
- Interface with customers, interpret their needs into a product.
- Interface with manufacturing, purchasing and suppliers to understand material and assembly cost.
- Optimize designs to minimize cost.
- Interface with sales team to help develop cost.
- Become the go-to person to assist with questions from manufacturing.
- Maintain standard processes for the Engineering department.
Minimum Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude, familiarity with tools and machinery.
- Experience in designing CNC and welded components in a CAD system.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to solve problems in a team environment.
- Self-starter with a willingness and ambition to learn from others and seek out information.
- Strong sense of accountability with a can-do attitude.
- Experience or training in LEAN manufacturing tools and process improvement.
Skills
- Associate degree or Trade school training in a technical discipline.
- Experience working in the stainless steel, high purity component market.
- Experience designing machined and welded components.
- Able to create drawings in Master CAM.
