Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly)
Industry: Heavy Machine Manufacturing
Location: Davenport, IA 52809
Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
OT as needed
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Articulated Dump Truck (ADT) assembly operations.
• Improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost through continuous improvement projects.
• Lead small to medium capital projects.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes and assembly methods.
• Establish labor standards, layouts, and assembly sequences.
• Troubleshoot production and assembly issues.
• Work with suppliers, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
Required Skills:
• 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, quality, and maintenance.
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Project leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with assembly operations.
• Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Cost reduction, quality improvement, and ergonomic improvement projects.
• Capital project management experience.
