Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Grand Rapids on a full-time basis.

The Role:

The career level Manufacturing Engineer will be skilled in manufacturing equipment, assembly and process improvements and overall manufacturing process support. The work is performed in a manufacturing environment where innovation, creativity and initiative are used to support current manufacturing operations. The work will be focused on high volume assembly and testing.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

Responsible for supporting activities that may include:

    \n
  • Ensure all manufacturing technical documentation is up to date.
  • \n

  • Provide technical direction to internal teams while overseeing external vendors to ensure manufacturing processes, equipment, and solutions meet quality, efficiency, and production requirements.
  • \n

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive problem-solving initiatives, including improving equipment efficiency, resolving downtime events, and addressing customer quality concerns.
  • \n

  • Provide day-to-day support of manufacturing operations and maintenance.
  • \n

  • Participate in identifying and/or resolving safety and ergonomics issues.
  • \n

  • Facilitate or deliver training for team members and maintenance personnel, while also developing technical training manuals and work instructions as needed.
  • \n

  • Participate in project planning and coordination to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • \n

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

    \n
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
  • \n

  • 3+ years of experience in engineering support role in a manufacturing environment.
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of high-volume manufacturing and testing.
  • \n

  • Previous experience with computer- based office and engineering software, including Microsoft Suite.
  • \n

  • Ability to work off shifts and weekends as well as overtime as needed.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of high-speed assembly manufacturing equipment.

  • Knowledge of vision inspection systems.

  • Proficiency with CAD Software
