Manufacturing Engineer\n\nJob Type: Full time, Variable Days\n\nStart Date: ASAP\n\nDuration: Permanent\n\nLocation: Derby\n\nSalary: Competitive\n\nSector: Aerospace\n\nWe're seeking a forward-thinking Manufacturing Engineer to join our client's high-performance team at their Derby facility. As the Manufacturing Engineer you'll contribute to the design, development, and optimisation of complex aerospace components that power the future of flight.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n\nDevelop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes for aerospace components.\nCollaborate with design, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability, efficiency, and compliance with aerospace standards.\nSupport new product introduction (NPI) and technology transfers into production.\nDrive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related issues.\nCreate and maintain work instructions, process flows, and documentation in accordance with AS9100 and other regulatory standards.\nLead or support cost reduction, yield improvement, and automation initiatives. \n\nQualifications, Experience and Attributes Required:\n\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.\nProven experience in a Manufacturing Engineer, ideally within the aerospace or precision engineering sector.\nStrong understanding of machining, assembly, and special processes used in aerospace component production.\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.\nFamiliarity with CAD/CAM software and ERP/MRP systems.\nExcellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.\nExperience working within an AS9100-certified environment.
(Desirable)\nFamiliarity with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and SPC techniques. (Desirable)\nChartered Engineer status or working towards professional registration.
