Summary of Position:
Designs, develops, test and evaluates integrated systems for managing and improving industrial production processes including equipment, quality control, facility management, cost analysis and production coordination.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize lean six sigma principles to determine process standards and to reduce overall inefficiencies in material and labor cost while meeting/exceeding quality and reliability objectives
- Responsible for new product introduction into manufacturing which requires process flow maps, pFMEAs, control plans, tooling and fixturing considerations, making electronic work instructions, verifying BOMs, workstation layout and material presentation
- Reviews released drawings for manufacturability and safety considerations, implements changes in electronic work instructions, process routings, BOMs, tooling and fixturing
- Supports the production floor in blueprint interpretation, redlines as required, submits drawing change requests and rework coordination as required
- Supports design engineering with design to cost and design to manufacturability exercises in bids, prototypes and existing designs
- Individual will be expected to obtain Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt certification if not already obtained (will be company sponsored). Expected to complete at least two greenbelt projects per year.
- Confers with staff and management regarding procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities and project status
- Establishes and maintains effective work relationships with all departments.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing or Industrial engineering
- Must have CNC Programming experience
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Computer Skills; Solid Works, AUTOCAD and Microsoft Suite
Eligibility Requirements:
