Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

Epitec is seeking an experienced MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) Engineer to join our automotive client's team. The candidate will play a pivotal role in leading multidisciplinary teams to meet deadlines and resolve issues.

Location: San Antonio, TX

W2 only. C2C is not available for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead multidisciplinary teams may become actively involved, as required, to meet deadlines and resolve issues.
• To lead any changes on the MES system, including configuration changes and MES Deployments.
• To follow up with the NPI team new introductions involving MES configurations.
• To perform and execute training plans, prepare manufacturing document specifications, coordinate pilot builds, and capture and follow up all issues identified in the implementation process.
• To keep records and present reports regarding new MES changes.
• To communicate project status to management during periodical reviews as well as execute escalation process as needed.
• To support development and execution of training plans for new processes or changes on the system.
• To define, manage, track and report MES Budget, regarding capital and expenses.
• To coordinate design reviews with vendors, designers and other stakeholders as required

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 5+ years of previous automotive/truck manufacturing experience
• Proficiency in Minitab, MATLAB, or similar
• Experience using SQL Server
• Experience with ERP systems and simulation software
