Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring product integrity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, integrating lean manufacturing and automation to simplify processes and reduce waste.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Maintenance, Corporate Engineering) to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
- Lead and mentor a engineering team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Support engineering rotations and training programs to develop future talent and strengthen team capabilities.
- Manage capital projects, process changes, and new equipment installations to support production scalability.
- Ensure data-driven decision-making by collecting, analyzing, and presenting key performance metrics.
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers to maintain quality standards and ensure product specifications are met.
- Stay up to date with automotive manufacturing trends and best practices to drive innovation within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical ).
- 5+ years of experience in metal removal and/or close tolerance assembly manufacturing.
- Proficiency in multiple types of CNC controls, tooling geometry, machine tool processes, and fixture design.
- OR proficiency with automated, semi-automated, and manual automotive assembly equipment and cell design.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and troubleshoot production challenges effectively.
- Basic knowledge of applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental management systems.
- PLC programming and robotics experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to walk approximately 3–7 miles per day.
- Perform repetitive motions while walking or standing.
- Stand/walk for the duration of the shift.
- Visually check for minute details during quality checks and detect .
- Able to lift 35 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
