Manufacturing Engineer (12 Hour Shift)

Job Highlights12 Hrs Day & Night Shift (4 Days)Min Diploma / Degree in Engineering or equivalentAttractive Remuneration Package Responsibilities: Leading a team of operators, technicians and supervisors.Liaise with Supervisors, Engineers, Planners and other respective Departments for production processesOversee daily operation of respective production requirements such as line productivity, efficiency, quality, yield and machine utilizationParticipate in Production Process Planning and scheduled meetingsConduct Toolbox meetings to identify production requirementsEnsure production schedules accord to that of the PlannerConduct on-the-job training for direct reportsPrepare and submit required monthly reportsKeep track of any rectifications or improvements requiredChange working methods or processes for productivity and quality improvement when necessaryLiaise and work closely with customer to manage the corrective action and resolve quality issues promptlyInitiate and lead internal team to ensure internal corrective action is closed effectivelyBuild good rapport with customers through timely feedback on product quality performance as well as customers’ requirements such as assisting customer to perform evaluationResponsible for generating and implementing of all production related procedures such as Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedure and Control PlansDevelop and implement periodic equipment preventive maintenance programsIdentify and recommend training programs for respective production personnel to enrich their capabilities and knowledgeMaintain plant equipment such as Air Compressors, Vacuum pumps and TransformersMaintain a list of spare parts through timely reviewing to ensure minimum disruption to the production operation and establish contact with spare parts vendorsEnsure production operation meets the Company’s quality policy and objectives and comply with customer requirementInitiate implement continuous improvement plan to attain cost reduction to meet Company’s goalsEnsure compliance to company’s safety rules and policy and maintain 5S standard and good manufacturing housekeepingAny other tasks assigned by superiorTake reasonable care of workplace health and safety; abide by all EHS policies and procedures; cooperate with Management and colleagues in EHS initiatives Requirements: Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Automation / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalentWorking knowledge of PLC Programming, 8D Methodology and ISO9001Good interpersonal and communication skillMeticulous, Independent and possess good organizational & planning abilities The above statements reflect the general tasks, duties, activities and/or responsibilities necessary to describe this position and is not intended to set forth all of the specific requirements of the job.
