Job DescriptionPosition Summary

The Manufacturing Calibration Technician plays a critical role in the calibration and assembly of precision instruments across the full Spectro Scientific product line. This individual will independently manage workflow priorities based on open sales orders and production schedules, ensuring timely and accurate output. As a process owner, the technician will also be responsible for cross-training team members and collaborating across departments to resolve technical and production issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on calibration and assembly of instruments, ensuring consistent forward production flow.
  • Prioritize and manage daily workflow in alignment with production schedules and order demands.
  • Serve as process owner for calibration and assembly, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Cross-train other technicians to ensure team flexibility and coverage.
  • Document calibration and manufacturing results accurately and thoroughly.
  • Provide timely feedback to Manufacturing and Sustaining Engineering teams to support continuous improvement and trend analysis.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to troubleshoot and resolve production challenges.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.



Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a high-technology manufacturing environment, with a focus on electromechanical product assembly and testing.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Proficient in reading and following detailed assembly and test procedures.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficient in soldering and use of standard manufacturing tools.
  • Strong PC skills and comfort with digital documentation and reporting.



Compensation

Employee Type: Hourly

Salary Minimum: $45,000

Salary Maximum: $65,000

Incentive: No
