Production Operator Job Description:
PrideStaff is working with a local manufacturer of windows and doors who is in need of skilled Production Operators. The Production Operator will operate machines in a commercial production environment to produce doors, cabinets and other specialty wood items. The ideal Production Operator has experience working in a warehouse, knows manufacturing and processes, has experience with hand tools and can read and interpret drawings. The Production Operator position is a full-time, temp-to-hire position in Sacramento, CA.
Production Operator Job Responsibilities:
- Performs Typical Machine Operations to Support The Manufacturing Division
- Operates KVAL & or Similar High-Speed Door Machining Equipment to Cut Various Door Preps on The Edge & Face of Architectural Wood Doors as Described on Production Tags
- Detects & Reports Defective Materials or Questionable Conditions
- Performs Prescribed Machine Setup, Tooling & Calibration For Making Door Preps
- Performs (but Not Limited to) The Following Tasks: Beveling, Cutting, Boring Chiseling, Drilling, Sanding & De-Burring
- Is Familiar With Door Hardware Templates & Their Application to Precise Door Preps
- Must be Familiar With Basic Machine Functions in Order to Perform The Task Stated Above
- Exercise Focused Mental Concentration in The Presence of High-Speed Cutting & Milling Equipment
- Must Adhere to All Safety & PPE Requirements
Production Operator Job Requirements & Working Conditions:
- High School Diploma Required
- Prior Door Machine Experience
- Past Experience in Commercial Woodworking (Doors, Mill Work, Cabinets, etc)
- Can Read & Interpret Drawings & Order Tags
- Understanding of CAD Drafting With Some Past Experience a Plus
- Can Perform Simple Simple Math & Use Basic Hand-Held Measuring Tools
- Work Well in a Fast-Paced Team Environment
- Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills
- PC Skills Highly
