Role Summary
Rowan is seeking a Manager, Operations Analytics to turn operational and financial data into actionable insights that improve cost performance, reliability, and efficiency across our facilities portfolio. You will lead KPI and dashboard strategy, partner closely with Facility Operations, Engineering, Construction, Energy, Water, and Compliance (including SOX, PCI, SOC 1, and SOC 2), and drive data‑informed decisions for day‑to‑day operations and long‑term planning. The ideal candidate combines strong analytics and financial acumen with excellent communication and cross‑functional leadership.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 10% for company gatherings or to industry events.
Location: Frederick, MD (on-site)
Compensation: $135k-$150k (Offers Bonus)
Essential Responsibilities

Financial Performance Analytics: Develop and maintain cost dashboards for OPEX and maintenance budgets; monitor variance against forecasts and identify savings opportunities

Cost Optimization: Analyze spend drivers (energy, water, maintenance, vendor contracts) and recommend strategies to reduce total cost of ownership without compromising reliability

KPI Governance: Define and track financial and operational KPIs—availability, reliability, cost per MW, energy intensity, and maintenance backlog

Budget Support: Partner with Finance and Operations to provide data for annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; ensure alignment with compliance standards

Compliance & Audit: Maintain audit‑ready documentation for SOX, PCI, SOC 1, and SOC 2; ensure financial controls are embedded in analytics processes

Executive Reporting: Prepare concise financial and operational performance summaries for leadership and Investment Committee; translate data into actionable recommendations

Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work with Construction and Project Delivery to ensure accurate cost handoff at turnover; align with Energy & Water teams on sustainability and cost KPIs

Continuous Improvement: Identify automation opportunities for financial reporting and analytics; pilot advanced models for cost forecasting and scenario planning
Education, Skills, and Experience

Experience in analytics or operations - data centers, industrial infrastructure, or similar , but not required

Familiarity with SQL and willingness to learn tools like Python, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx and SCADA/CMMS systems

Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate insights clearly

Comfort working in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment with ambiguity

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree a plus but not required

Interest in compliance frameworks (SOX, PCI, SOC 1, SOC 2) and readiness to learn audit
