Network Engineering Manager

Location: Verona, NY (On-Site)

Compensation: $140k-$160k + Bonus

A large, high-volume enterprise in the hospitality, entertainment, and gaming sector is seeking a Network Engineering Manager to lead the design, stability, and performance of all enterprise network services. This role oversees LAN/WAN architecture, voice/data/video/wireless systems, and network fabric environments, with a strong emphasis on Extreme Networks technologies (Cisco experience also acceptable). The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical depth and people leadership, overseeing a team of 7 and driving both day-to-day operations and long-term network modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and optimization of LAN/WAN and wireless environments.
• Manage all network services: voice, data, video, wireless, and mission-critical connectivity.
• Oversee network fabric architecture (Extreme ).
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and ensure high availability.
• Maintain network policies, standards, documentation, and disaster recovery plans.
• Lead a 7-person team: hiring, coaching, scheduling, performance.
• Partner with stakeholders to define requirements for new technologies.
• Manage vendors, contracts, budgeting, and network-related purchasing.
• Drive upgrades, modernization initiatives, and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of network engineering in a complex, high-volume, regulated environment.
• Experience with Extreme Networks or Cisco (fabric experience required).
• Strong knowledge of OSPF, BGP, DNS, DHCP, SPB, SDN.
• Proven experience in network design, security, and capacity planning.
• Leadership experience managing engineers/technicians.
• Strong documentation, communication, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license
