What we're looking for: We are seeking a talented professional responsible for refining, managing and executing a user-focused content strategy for assigned RSNA products. The Manager: Content Architecture, Strategy & Implementation will work across RSNA to implement the content strategy and build capabilities for content discovery, content classification, content extraction, content rendering and repurposing current content to assigned products, while leveraging AI, latest technologies to focus on the biggest drivers of value, confidence and speed. The main function of this role is to ensure surfacing the best content in connection with product strategy, working with the product managers.

What you'll do:

  1. Experience in understanding technical product needs and translating them in an actionable direction.
  2. Create and maintain content governance frameworks; Conduct periodic audits and recommend taxonomy principles, standards and best practices on the performance of the system to align to the broader content strategy and framework, including keeping the strategy relevant.
  3. Ensure alignment and understanding of the user-focused content strategy, implementation roadmap.
  4. Lead the development and implementation of user-focused content strategy and framework, on time and within budget.
  5. Work across departments to ensure transparency and harmonization of content creation, curation, and distribution across channels.
  6. Clearly define the content development/rewriting/repurposing plan per product line and portfolio. This includes developing content, filling in gaps in content, determining format, multimedia components, revision frequency.
  7. Creating content maps to link text to organizational assets and envisions, recommend enhancements for use in various electronic formats.
  8. Identify emerging content trends and technologies to enhance organizational content capabilities.
  9. Ensure chosen technologies can implement the strategy from above, integrate with existing relevant systems and scale effectively.
  10. Analyze content performance metrics and develop data-driven content optimization strategies.
  11. Ability to anticipate content rendering issues and guide teams in preparing content for maximum benefit to users.
  12. Day-to-day facilitation of project execution of the content workstream working with the product manager of the assigned product. Lead and organize multiple cross-functional projects
  13. Design, incubation, and iteration of systems and processes to assess and enable project effectiveness and efficiency
  14. Draft and edit guidelines that help review content at scale while maintaining commitment to accuracy and consistency
  15. Collaborate with leadership to establish department vision, goals and objectives are fulfilled in alignment to the broader needs of RSNA.
  16. Collaborate with product management (of assigned products) to realize the product vision, product strategy, product discovery, roll out of content-related tools, platforms and the implementation of content stream product roadmap.
  17. Interface with informatics, publication, business intelligence, IT, to ensure seamless content curation, , and delivery.
  18. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  19. Own SLA’s, on availability, reliability and fault tolerance
  20. Conduct regular reviews of project progress and readouts
  21. Build and maintain strong relationships within RSNA and with users and key vendors. Work with 3rd party solution partners to build full solutions.

What you'll need:

  • BS/MS degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 5+ years of recent professional experience in content management or journalism with combined experience in the software or technology industry, partnering directly with product teams
  • 5+ years of recent experience in semantic technology solutions, content management, content classification and meta-data strategy implementation with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • 5+ years of experience in the design and development of ontology, and taxonomy, preferably for life science, wellness or healthcare domain.
  • Hands-on experience with one or two of the current content management systems (CMS), data annotation tools, and taxonomy management software.
  • 4+ years of demonstrated experience in project management experience, in a technology, product or media environment
  • Candidates should have proven experience managing content teams through every stage of product development, including roadmap formation, iterative testing, and quality control efforts, working with product managers.
  • 2+ years’ experience and knowledge in AI/ML and working with LLM’s for content , and re-writing for multi-modal contents (audio, video, image, text, etc.) [, Differentiator experience]
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful content strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in content management systems and digital publishing tools
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Experience or solid understanding of clinical terminologies (SNOMED, ICD-10, etc.). Familiarity with medical terminology, health-care related content, especially in medical imaging or healthcare.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with teams and communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and quality.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Competent in Excel, PowerPoint, Content Analytics tools, Adobe creative suite and Project Management Software.
