Manager, Application Engineering (IC) – Specialty Alloys

Reading, PA | Full‐Time | Direct Hire | $130–150K base + bonus

Join a global leader in advanced specialty alloys supporting aerospace, defense, medical, and energy markets. This is a senior individual contributor role—no people management—focused on innovation, influence, and technical ownership.

What you’ll do

• Lead application and product development from idea → launch
• Translate customer needs into clear technical requirements
• Influence product and process strategy with R&D and leadership
• Support commercialization, technical marketing, and early customer engagement
• Use market, competitive, and patent insights to guide next‐gen solutions

What we’re looking for

• Master’s degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
• 3+ years in application engineering, product development, or technical marketing
• Strong knowledge of specialty alloys (superalloys, titanium, high‐performance stainless)
• Ability to influence strategy without direct authority
