Vintage Housing, a division of LIFE Senior Services, is looking for a dependable, skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll help maintain our apartment communities by performing repairs, preventative maintenance, apartment turns, and grounds maintenance while ensuring our enjoy a safe, attractive, and well-maintained environment.

What you'll do:
- Perform general maintenance including painting, light carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and basic HVAC repairs.
- Complete maintenance work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare apartments for new through apartment make-ready projects.
- Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Inspect buildings, apartments, and grounds to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
- Maintain lighting, common areas, and building exteriors.
- Assist with grounds maintenance including mowing, landscaping, weed control, trash removal, and general property upkeep as needed.
- Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors on approved repair projects.
- Maintain maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Utilize a smartphone or tablet to receive work orders, communicate updates, and document completed work.
- Participate in staff meetings, required training, and safety initiatives.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to maintenance emergencies during evenings or weekends when necessary.
Requirements:
What we're looking for:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in apartment, residential, commercial, or general building maintenance .
- Knowledge of:
- Painting
- Basic plumbing
- Basic electrical
- Light carpentry
- HVAC systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with property management.
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license.
- Reliable transportation and current automobile liability insurance.
- Ability to travel between properties as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and more with appropriate equipment.
- Ability to climb ladders, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and perform physical labor throughout the day.
