About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a respected, well-established residential property management company in Madison to hire a Maintenance Technician Trainee. This is a great opportunity for someone coming from the skilled trades, construction, or automotive industry who is looking for a stable, long-term career path.

This position is based at one fixed apartment community—no traveling between multiple sites. You’ll receive hands-on, paid training designed to help you grow into a fully qualified Apartment Maintenance Technician.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with general maintenance repairs, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
• Complete routine maintenance tasks, work orders, and inspections
• Learn and develop new technical skills through on-the-job training
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the community
• Communicate professionally with and property staff
• Follow safety guidelines and maintenance best practices

What We’re Looking For

• Background in skilled trades, construction, or automotive repair strongly
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a hands-on, stable career
• Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols
• Basic hand tool knowledge and mechanical aptitude
• Valid driver’s license, personal tools, and a reliable vehicle required
